Community Prayer

Those of you who attended the forth evening in the Prayer School sessions will know that some people in Colchester spent many months praying that the crime level in their town would reduce, and statistics appear to prove that their faith in prayer worked.

The Church Oversight Group (COG) would like Christ Church to join together in ‘Community Prayer’. Each month a subject will be suggested in ‘Contact’ and the weekly notices and we believe because everyone will be praying on the same theme  our prayers will be answered.

 

LORD, help me to remember
that nothing is going to happen to me today
that You and I together can't handle.

The subject for the month of June is for Those who are newcomers to the area.

The following headings may prompt your prayer themes.

  • Lord, be with all newcomers to the Braintree area. Help them to integrate and feel accepted by the people of the town.
  • Lord, help us to communicate with newcomers and neighbours moving into the area and make them feel welcome.
  • Lord, we pray that we may recognise people who need friendship.

Our vision statement says we are a caring church. Lets put that into practice. Please spend  time this month, as you walk around the town or in any quiet moments you may have, to pray for Those who are newcomers to the area and know that Christ Church joins you so that in time Braintree will become a better place to live in. We believe God can achieve great things through us.
